ARIES: 1st arrondissement

There is no place better suited to the first sign of the zodiac than the first district of Paris. Situated right in the heart of the city, the 1st arrondissement is the perfect location for Aries, who love to be the centre of attention. The restless, dynamic fire sign will find plenty to keep them occupied amongst some of the city’s main attractions, including les Halles, the Louvre and Rue Rivoli.

TAURUS: 7th arrondissement

Sometimes called ‘the architect’ of the zodiac because of their talent for making things and finding solutions, dependable Taurus will feel right at home around the Eiffel Tower and its surroundings. There is plenty on offer in the 7th to appeal to the Taurus’ sensual side, from the Rodin sculpture garden to the foodie hotspots on Rue Cler.

GEMINI: 9th arrondissement

Paris’ modern centre is perfect for sociable and inquisitive Geminis. The city’s fast-moving 9th district provides plenty to keep this friendly and active sign entertained, from shopping at the iconic Printemps and Galeries Lafayette in the daytime, through drinks on Grands Boulevards to a spot of opera in the evening.

CANCER: 19th arrondissement

Sensitive, caring Cancers will enjoy spending hours taking long walks in the Buttes Chaumont with close friends or amoureux. With modern spaces like the Centquatre cultural centre and the Philharmonie de Paris, this district will particularly appeal to the Cancer’s artistic side, while its location slightly apart from the city’s hustle and bustle will provide this water sign with much needed space to retreat into their shells.

LEO: 8th arrondissement

Warm, outgoing Leos need a relatively central location with lots to do and plenty of opportunities for entertaining friends and family. Leos won’t settle for any old dive bar, however, and will prefer to show off their more refined tastes in the 8th district at an impressive location around Place de la Concorde or the Champs-Elysées.

VIRGO: 6th arrondissement

The former hub for the intelligentsia of Paris provides the perfect setting for bright, intelligent Virgos. These reserved types will feel right at home in cafes once frequented by some of the world’s greatest writers and philosophers, while the Abbey of Saint Germain des Pres provides a sacred spot for Virgos to retreat and reflect.

LIBRA: 3rd/4th arrondissement

Likeable, artistic Libras will be happiest in the upbeat Marais. There are plenty of opportunities for socialising and discovering the rich culture Paris has to offer at the Carreau du Temple or the Museum of Jewish History and Art, while the openness and diversity of the area will appeal to the Libra’s strong sense of justice and equality.

SCORPIO: 5th arrondissement

Determined, focused Scorpios will thrive in the 5th district, home to the Sorbonne University. Like the Scorpio, this part of Paris oozes mysterious appeal with the Pantheon and the beautiful mosque of Paris. This water sign will also be content to simply meander and contemplate life along the left bank of the Seine.

SAGITTARIUS: 11th district

Restless, adventurous Sagittarius will be most at home in Paris’ sleepless 11th district. These gregarious characters are most likely to be found soaking up the atmosphere around Oberkampf or Bastille once the sun goes down. A walk along the Rue du Chemin Vert or a stop in one of the many cafes scattered around the area will also provide this sign with the perfect remedy after a night out on Rue de Lappe.

CAPRICORN: 16th arrondissement

The most hardworking and ambitious sign in the zodiac has what it takes to succeed in this prestigious district and its surrounding areas. This traditional, family-oriented arrondissement will appeal to the Capricorn’s conservative side, with the Bois de Boulogne and Albert Kahn Japanese gardens providing the perfect place for this Earth sign to reconnect with nature after a hard day’s work.

AQUARIUS: 20th arrondissement

These quirky characters will find themselves right at home in the hip 20th district. Aquarius will be in their element with an abundance of cool watering holes like Aux Folies and will be adept at sniffing out the very best restaurants in Belleville. During the day, you’ll find this intelligent, communicative sign discussing global affairs in a quiet spot in the Parc de Belleville or strolling through Père Lachaise, where fellow Aquarian Colette is buried.

PISCES: 10th arrondissement

Dreamy Pisces will be happiest lazing by the banks of the Canal Saint Martin. This district has plenty of little art boutiques to satisfy this water sign’s artistic side, plus new cafés opening up every week where they can sketch and scribble out their latest ideas and visions. Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est also provide the perfect getaway points for when this sensitive sign feels a need to get away from the city centre.
